Research assistant(RA) position is available to new applicant for Ph.D. or M.S. degree in School of Mechanical Engineering of PNU who are interested in examining various phenomena in an energy conversion system such as coal fired power plant, engine and fuel cell.
The research subject may include transport behaviors of various slurry fuels (viscosity, thermal stability and dispersion, etc.), thermo-chemistry and electro-chemistry of coals in fluidized bed condition, and new gasifier simulation with low rank coal and biomass, etc. In particular, we are performing extensive theoretical analysis, experiment and numerical simulation to characterize the response of the energy system to diverse fuels.
